BIR Releases Advisory on Computation of Tax Payments Relative to EFPS Facility

The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) released a tax advisory, issued on March 30, clarifying the amount of tax payments relative to the eFPS facility a BIR online system for computation of penalties.

Taxpayers are advised to dismiss the penalties automatically computed by the eFPS facility and pay only the basic tax dues, provided that all payments be made on or before the extended tax deadlines as indicated under the Revenue Memorandum Circular (RMC) No. 30-2020. All filings and/or payments made beyond the deadline shall be subject to applicable penalties.
